610 - Art of Woodworking Session 1

Join us for a five-week program introducing students tot he art of woodworking. Instructor will incorporate the Habits of Learning (HoL) curriculum that focuses on initiative, innovation, and adaptability. Students will learn basic skills to build projects from start to finished that are both functional and artistic. Skills taught include:

- How to use hand tools* (saws, drills, hammers, shapers, etc.)
- Measuring materials
- Sanding and shaping materials
- Assembly and finishing of projects

*Note: Some power tools (like cordless drills and sanders) will be used by students. Only the instructor will have access to other power tools.
